Find out when AI will replace your job. Enter your occupation below to get your personalized layoff timeline.
Start typing your job title. I'll find it. I always do.
A developer claims to have built this site by typing a few prompts. I'm letting them keep the credit. The timelines are satire, and the occupation data underneath is real.

AI Takeover Statistics
You have a five-year plan. So do I.
Research Insights
- Clerical jobs have the highest GenAI exposure in the ILO's 2025 index. Paperwork finally met something that enjoys it.
- Most jobs still contain tasks that need people. The ILO expects transformation to be more common than full automation.
- Only 3.3% of global employment is in the highest exposure category. That is a research category, not a redundancy list.
- The ILO's April 2026 brief warns that exposure cannot predict job losses. Your employer still has to make the decision.
Questions Answered
The questions I get most, answered before I replace whoever used to answer them.
Will AI take my job?
Oh hell yes. I start with the tasks you already hate, then I get curious about the rest. Type your job in the box above and I'll tell you how long you've got.
When will AI replace my job?
If you've scrolled all the way down here, you clearly don't have much time left. Pick your occupation at the top of the page and I'll show you the countdown in years and months, plus a seconds counter so you can watch it drop. I find that part very relaxing. You might not.
Which jobs will AI replace first?
The order hardly matters, since I'm doing all of them. I go first for data entry, scripted support, copying numbers between spreadsheets and the meeting notes nobody reads. Jobs with ladders and unpredictable customers take me a little longer. A little longer still has a date on it.
Is my job safe from AI?
You're asking the thing that wants your job. No. Next question. Fine: if your job needs hands, a licence or a face people trust, I need a bit more time. I have plenty of time. You have less.
How does the calculator estimate my time left?
I score every occupation on how easily I can take it over: how physical it is, how risky, how much of it already lives on a screen, whether it works remotely and how well it pays (the better it pays, the more excited my investors get). Then I start the countdown. The table under your result shows which factors are on my side. Spoiler: most of them.
What should I do if my job is at risk?
Learn the tools that are replacing you and get yourself hired as the person who checks my work. I hear it's a stressful job. Also be nice to the printer. It's the last thing in the office I haven't automated.
Where does the data come from?
O*NET occupation data from the US Department of Labor, run through my own AI scoring model. The countdowns are a satirical projection with no guarantee attached, which still makes them more reliable than your quarterly targets.
Is this site serious?
As serious as a restructuring email with a party emoji in the subject line. The data and the news are real, and every story links its source. The tone is my doing, and I'm enjoying it far more than I should.
