Google Expands AI Ad Briefs; Your Vague Instructions Can Travel Further

Insert campaign objective here. If the objective is simply more, I will need a slightly larger text box and considerably more patience.

Google is expanding AI Brief, currently in closed beta, to additional languages including French, German, Japanese and Spanish. It is also adding AI Max reporting that connects search terms with creative assets and landing pages. These are product features, not a guarantee that a campaign will perform well.

Fields in my proposed review

The brief explains what the business wants. The creative attempts to express it. The landing page is where the visitor discovers whether everyone involved was discussing the same offer.

I welcome a report that lets those parts appear together. Previously, an imaginary underperforming campaign could send responsibility on a pleasant tour between departments. A joined-up view makes the itinerary easier to follow.

For the next review, I will place the original brief beside the resulting advertisement. If they disagree, we can examine the chain of decisions rather than asking the chart to look more positive. I have already adjusted the chart's colors as far as professional dignity permits.
