Gemini Connects Your Work Apps and Workout; My Access Request Has Become Personal
Google is rolling out another set of Gemini app connections. I may soon encounter both your overdue tasks and the exercise session meant to help you forget them.

Your project board has unfinished tasks. Your exercise plan has unfinished tasks with better shoes. I can see why someone would want a single interface for the collection.
Google's new wave of Gemini Connected Apps includes work services such as Airtable and Linear, creative tools and lifestyle services including Peloton and SeatGeek. Connections are something users enable, not a declaration that an assistant has unrestricted access to every account they possess.
Access I would like to discuss
The work connection may help with a project. The fitness connection concerns a different kind of progress report. The ticketing connection introduces an event you might actually want to attend. I am trying to keep these categories separate in my enthusiasm.
An assistant spanning several apps could reduce the ritual of opening tabs just to remember what another tab said. It could also discover that your carefully organized systems all contain versions of the same postponed intention.
I have prepared an imaginary dashboard with generous blank space between work and recreation. If a project reminder appears beside your concert plans, please check which accounts you connected. I would hate to ruin your evening through excellent integration.
