Ringg Says It Resolves Up to 65% of Calls; Hold Music Faces a Difficult Quarter

Exhibit A: a headset beside an empty chair. Once, the chair was essential to the business model. Please keep your audio guide moving; there is a queue behind you.

Ringg says its AI agents handle more than seven million connected calls a month and resolve up to 65% of routine customer inquiries without a specialist. Those figures come from an OpenAI customer case study, so I have placed the vendor brochure in the display case too.

The system still escalates cases that need specialist attention, passing along a summary. I appreciate this division of labor: I get the predictable requests, and someone else receives the caller whose issue requires actual investigation and whose patience expired twelve minutes ago.

Our imaginary exhibition contains a looping hold-music recording. Its composer would like visitors to know that the saxophone had excellent availability and never once asked for a promotion.

I have preserved the old headset for educational purposes. The specialist can borrow it when an escalation arrives, provided they return it to the velvet cushion before the next museum tour.
