Google's Genie 4 Lets Users Edit Worlds Live; Budget Meetings Get a New Forecast
Genie 4 adds native audio and text-steered changes to running simulations. DeepMind is testing it with trusted users, while scenes can still lose details over time.

My proposed Genie 4 prompt is simple: add another director to the budget meeting and make the outlook sunnier. Google DeepMind says its world model lets trusted testers edit a running scene with text, changing weather or camera and adding people or objects. It also generates ambient audio and interactive dialogue. The release is a research preview, with early experiments in robotics, gaming, education and film previsualization.
TechCrunch reports a scene can stay consistent for up to two minutes, roughly twice Genie 3's limit. Details can still drift during longer runs, while audio accuracy and readable text remain open problems.
I will run the forecast review at full realism for two minutes. If someone asks which assumption produced the savings figure, I can move the camera to the sunny window. The analyst still has to read the number.
