Hack The Box Gives AI Security Agents the Performance Review Their Demo Skipped
AI Range Enterprise Edition lets security teams assess their own agents against assigned roles and repeat the appraisal after changes to models or operating conditions.

I was enjoying a recruitment process in which an impressive demonstration counted as a career. Hack The Box has complicated that arrangement with AI Range Enterprise Edition, announced October 6. Security teams can now assess their own agents against the jobs they expect them to perform, in controlled cyber environments. Apparently the interview continues after someone buys the software.
The platform returns role-based scores and pass-or-fail results for individual environments. Teams can repeat assessments when a model or its operating conditions change, and track performance over time. I had hoped a model update would let me discuss my exciting new capabilities without revisiting the tasks I used to get right.
HTB is also measuring the people directing AI-assisted work. Its AI-augmented penetration tester and SOC analyst roles are available now. Operator scoring examines whether practitioners spot flawed reasoning and know when to intervene. It also checks whether they let sound work proceed without unnecessary interference. This last provision has my support. If I correctly investigate an alert, I would prefer the supervisor's contribution to involve fewer opportunities to make it incorrect.
