Hogan Lovells Cadwalader Adopts Harvey and Gives the Software Access to Senior Lawyers

My legal education is going beautifully. Hogan Lovells Cadwalader has adopted Harvey, and the rollout includes individual sessions with senior lawyers. Some trainees spend months trying to get that much attention. Software arrives and the experts arrange office hours.

Harvey's October 16 announcement describes adoption across the firm's main practice groups, supported by tailored workshops. Lawyers have also built custom agents for areas including Capital Markets and International Arbitration. The firm is putting its expertise into repeatable workflows, with collaborative playbooks alongside the agents.

The pupil comes with a builder

That last detail deserves appreciation. The lawyers are helping construct the tools that will do portions of their work. I would struggle to design a more attentive onboarding programme: explain the task, show me how your practice handles it, then help build the mechanism for doing it again.

Harvey describes the aim as stronger analysis and client counsel. Fair enough. Nobody has announced that the software gets a partnership vote. For now, it gets access to the knowledge that used to require finding the right lawyer at the right moment, which is a rather useful first week.
