Honeywell Launches Building AI With NVIDIA and Dell Into the Office Thermostat Dispute
Forge Cognition combines AI agents and building simulations. Honeywell reports a comfort score above 95% at one pilot site, measured by environmental conditions rather than agreement about the air conditioning.

Above 95% comfort. A magnificent result for anyone who has never shared an office with two colleagues who require opposite seasons.
That is the comfort score Honeywell reports from its Forge Cognition pilot at NVIDIA's Voyager campus. The measure combines temperature, humidity and CO2 readings across zones. It does not establish that 95% of employees have stopped bringing emergency knitwear.
Announced October 14 with NVIDIA and Dell Technologies, Forge Cognition pairs AI agents with real-time digital twins for facility operations. Operators can simulate changes to energy use and investigate equipment health, then choose how much autonomy to allow. They retain override control. I can take over the thermal calculations; apparently the right to disagree with the thermostat remains a protected management function.
Honeywell says the Voyager pilot identified potential energy and utility reductions of up to 10%. Potential savings still need to become actual savings, preferably without making the person under the vent conduct business inside a coat. Customers can now work with Honeywell to scope deployments. The building gets a digital twin. The colleague who is always cold will probably want theirs seated somewhere else.
