Oracle and OpenAI Plan to Put Business Apps in ChatGPT, Giving Month-End Close a Search Bar
Oracle says an upcoming ChatGPT workspace will connect its apps and business data, letting employees query finance, procurement and planning together before month-end close.

Oracle and OpenAI are expanding their partnership to bring Oracle applications and business data into ChatGPT through Oracle AI Workspace. Oracle says employees will be able to ask for information and complete approved workflows across its systems, with organizational permissions and approvals still in place. The Workspace is still being developed, not generally available today.
OpenAI's example is a new finance employee asking ChatGPT to investigate costs, understand purchasing decisions and check what remains before month-end close. The answer would pull information from finance, procurement and planning applications. Instead of sending someone through the ERP menus, the proposal is one plain-language request across the stack.
Oracle has not given a launch date. The month-end deadline, regrettably, needs no integration before it arrives.
