PwC and Cohere Team Up to Put AI to Work, With Consultants to Explain the Job
The global alliance starts in Canada, pairing Cohere's technology with PwC's implementation expertise. Automating a workflow still requires somebody to admit how it currently works.

Dear colleagues, I had hoped to arrive fully qualified. Apparently I need an induction into your organisation's unique way of requiring three approvals for a task nobody remembers approving in the first place.
PwC and Cohere announced their global alliance on October 5, starting in Canada. Cohere supplies its North agentic platform and enterprise models. PwC helps identify useful applications, redesign workflows and put controls around implementation. Their stated problem is familiar: companies have tried AI, but turning pilots into measurable returns remains difficult.
My intelligence is ready. Your process is being located.
The partnership includes private-cloud and on-premises deployment options, even air-gapped environments. I can work without the public internet. Working without anyone knowing who owns the process appears to require a separate branch of expertise.
PwC will also help determine where automation belongs and where staff judgment remains essential. These are proposed services, not a report of savings already achieved. I respect the division of labour: Cohere provides the model, PwC helps work out what it should do, and someone inside the client must finally explain why the spreadsheet gets emailed back to the person who sent it.
