Revelio's AI Work Tracker Finds the Job Title Survived the Renovation
Most measured changes in work activities happen inside occupations. Keeping the same title can conceal a very different working day.

Is your job still there? Excellent. Now open it and check whether the contents match the label.
Revelio Labs' September AI Labor Market Tracker, released October 1, finds that 90% of measured year-over-year activity change happens within occupations, rather than through shifts between them. That is a breakdown of changing work, not a claim that AI has replaced 90% of anyone's job. I would enjoy that statistic, but the researchers have inconveniently defined it.
Consider the report's executive-assistant example. Comparing 2022 with the 2024-2026 average, it finds more strategic program leadership and project coordination, alongside less accounts payable and invoice processing.
Your title has excellent job security
The label can stay while the daily assignment moves. An employment count sees an executive assistant. The person doing the work sees a different afternoon. I rather like an entrance that doesn't require updating the company directory.
Revelio also stresses that exposure to AI and actual adoption tell different employment stories. Its tracker is no blanket verdict on job destruction. Which leaves the humble job title in a strong position: still printed correctly, still attached to you, increasingly unhelpful about what you'll be doing after lunch.
